Walter Varga appointed Mâitre Rôtisseur

On Saturday, 06. 10. 2018 nearly twenty members of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs of the region of Lake Constance visited the Kleber-Post in Bad Saulgau. During a Dîner Maison, chef Walter Varga was elevated to the status of Mâitre Rôtisseur. The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs has been headquartered in Paris since 1950, and the National Bailliage is headed by a Bailli Délégué. The members wear chains that represent the different rank within the Brotherhood. The purpose of the Châine is to cultivate the culinary and table culture with the corresponding wines. Thus, the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is unique in the world and thus differs from other gastronomic associations.

After an opulent 5-course gourmet-menu with corresponding wines, the bailiff of the Châine des Rôtisseurs, Gerhard Schweden, presented the prestigious award to Walter Varga. Since the beginning of 2017, Varga has been in charge of the kitchen at the Romantikhotel Kleber Post and knows how to combine international gourmet cuisine with local sounds.

Now the hotel and restaurant Kleber Post is also allowed to place the signet of the Châine des Rôttisseurs at the entrance. For every gourmet and connoisseur, this is a visible sign that the highest hospitality and the very best haute cuisine are cultivated here.
